On November 23 , 2016 Connie and I were treated to a fantastic day of historic wonders and modern day Hopi life on our Hopi Reservation Tour. On the Road to and from the 3 Mesa's our guide David Davis treated us to a very informative and easy to listen to commentary of the region in which we were traveling through. Our visit with "Uncle David" and his wife Mary on the reservation and the tour of his new cob home and to walk his maze were but a few of the highlights of a great day. So many good memories were formed. Thanks again to David and Great West Tours for a great day.Jeff and Connie Classen
Went on Nov. 9th 2016 and it was a gorgeous day!Just want to thank our lovely tour guide Kristen (not sure of spelling) for one of the most informative and enjoyable tours I've had to date. To top it off I had an unbelievable helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon, simply amazing, thank-you too Papillon!
My husband and I had the pleasure of having Allen as our tour guide 9/13/2016. What an amazing day we had. He was knowledgeable, friendly and an overall nice man. If you go on this tour ask for him you will not be disappointed!
My party of four were lucky enough to have Lynn as our personal tour guide on September 12th 2016. She provided us with a very informative tour pointing out where to obtain the best photos. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is a tour I would highly recommend!
I experienced this tour on September 8, 2016. Our tour guide was Kristen. She was fun, informative and fabulous! She truly made my dream come true with the sights of the Grand Canyon. Continue to make dreams come true, Ms. Kristen. Thank you!
I would highly recommend David, our guide and driver for this tour of 11 hours in mid May, 2016. He picked us up at our hotel. (5 of us, 2 from Kuala Lumpur, one from Phoenix and two from Vancouver, BC). David was very personable, great knowledge about the Grand Canyon in all areas, and customer designed for our trip. He knew inside out about this Grand Canyon and he was skillfully passed all jam traffic and brought us to all great places that me and my friends wanted to see - spectacular view of the Grand Canyon! Even though there was a light rain, but at the end, we got a chance to watch the sunset at the Grand Canyon. It was really GRAND!At the end, we had a nice dinner together at the Arizona Room of Bright Angel Lodge, a really nice dinner to wrap up the whole trip. This trip was enjoyable, memorable and much more...... The money we spent on this trip was well worth, thank you again David (aka Rajak, this was the Malaysian name we gave him) to bring us around, and definitely we will see you again in the near future!
I cannot recommend Great West Tours highly enough! Our guide David was personable, knowledgeable and greatly accommodating. You could tell he took the time to personalize the tour to every group. We went on the 11 hour sunset tour and it was spectacular. We made several stops along the way, and were able to bypass traffic lines, and find hidden viewing areas not many know about. We were given plenty of time to look around, take pictures and even saw a bit of wild life. If you are thinking of going with another travel agency, or driving yourself to the Grand Canyon, think again. Great West Tours was worth every penny and more. You will not regret it!
We took the Sunset Tour with Dave as our tour guide, on Wed. March 30, 2016. Dave is gifted and deserves a medal of honor for safety. Not only is he a walking encyclopedia of facts that brings the canyon and surrounding areas to life in an extraordinary way, but he is the safest driver ever. We went through some unexpected weather conditions and he kept his cool and reassured us of a safe trip. We enjoyed every moment under his guidance and we learned so much. I would recommend Great West Tours to everyone. We took the day tour with your company 8 years ago and found it enjoyable as well. But, nothing could compare with what Dave presented to us.
Many thanks for an outstanding job. Blessings to you all.
Great West Tours trip from Sedona was outstanding for our tour on March 22, 2016 but I recommend future users deal directly with Great West rather than Viator travel site (google them) to take advantage of their direct discount deals (the owner Bob answers the phone himself and was very accommodating). David our tour guide and driver was very personable and had great knowledge of the area, the history and his dual college degrees made him exceptional for facts and myths. He made sure we had plenty of water and snacks for the day and ensured we knew when our next stop for rest rooms and purchases would take place. Although the approximately 16 seat bus was not sedan comfortable we weren't on dirt roads and David made sure our temperature needs were met. Of course the scenery, especially the canyon itself were spectacular. The stop at the IMAX theater for the movie about the history of the Canyon was very educational and fun. As I added up the amount it would have cost for individual items included in the tour cost (IMAX, gas, admission fee to the park, Great West gift post cards of paintings of the canyon, and a full meal at the cafeteria style restaurant) the price was reasonable. Watching visitors who drove themselves to the park try to find a parking spot at the various locations proved to me that the tour was the way to go.
My wife and I had a fantastic tour of the Grand Canyon's South Rim with Great West. Our guide, Dave Reed, picked us up right on time at our inn in Sedona, then drove us through Oak Creek Canyon to Williams, Arizona, all the time narrating fascinating facts about Sedona, Oak Creek, and the entire Central Arizona area. In Williams, he dropped us off at the Grand Canyon Railway. When the train reached the canyon, Dave was there to meet us and take us to several incredible overlooks. At each stop, he pointed out interesting sights that we likely would have overlooked on our own. Dave is truly knowledgeable, but his passion for the canyon is infectious. After leaving the canyon, Dave drove us through the Navajo reservation, with sights of the Painted Desert and a couple of stops at trading posts. We were back in Sedona by dinnertime. All in all, it was a fantastic day.
